Cultural Connections: Celebrating Immigrant & Refugee Stories

Hello Refugee and Immigrant Collective Community:-)

I am really excited to be supporting "Youth Advocate for Immigrants and Refugees" (YAIR - https://www.youthadvocatespdx.org/). For the past 6 months I have been a part of several adults (Manuel and his organization has been an important resource) who have been supporting and thinking with these youth, as they have been steadily building relationships through conversations and story-exchanges with their peers in East Portland and beyond. Please read on and if you know of youth who would be interested in participating in this event, I would be most grateful for your help in sharing this information with them...

I am also available to answer any questions you may have. The grant I received has a modest budget for helping with transportation money if folks want to car-pool and or do ride-share. Thank you for spreading the word - I am honored to be helping these young activists as they begin to learn and build bridges through conversation.

Warmly,
Suba
